Kuma Sagar’s songs — “Furfuri” among them — are the kind a crowd starts singing before he reaches the chorus. For a generation of Nepalis, at home and abroad, that voice is a piece of home.
The Khwopaa carry the name of Khwopa — the old Newari name for Bhaktapur, the city of brick courtyards and temple steps. That is the sound underneath the songs: madal and dhime rhythm, played by hand.
This September the full band comes to the Ohio for one night. If you have ever sung these songs in a car, a kitchen, or a wedding tent, this is the night to sing them with everyone who knows every word.

How the wristband works. Staff scan your QR once and put a numbered band on your wrist — from then on the band is your ticket. Step out for air and show the band to come back in. A code that has already been banded cannot be used again, so a forwarded screenshot gets nobody through the door.

Show the QR code from your email or the confirmation page — a screenshot is fine. Staff scan it once, put a numbered wristband on you, and that band is now your ticket for the night. If you step out, show the band and your QR on the way back in.
Can I forward my ticket to a friend?
Yes. Whoever arrives first with the QR code gets the wristband. Once a code has been scanned and banded, it cannot be used by anyone else — so do not share it with more people than you have tickets.
What time should I get there?
Doors at 7:00 PM, show at 8:00 PM. Come early: the room fills fast for a headliner like this.
What is the age limit?
This is an 18+ show. Bring a valid government-issued photo ID — no ID, no entry, no exceptions.

Riverfront Live has its own lot at 4343 Kellogg Ave. Pull in and park.
Can I get a refund?
Tickets are refundable up to 48 hours before doors. After that you can hand your ticket to a friend — the QR is transferable until it is scanned.
